Derelle Watson-Duvall
Derelle Watson-Duvall received her law degree from Indiana University Law School in Indianapolis. She has practiced law for over thirty years. She is a former child welfare caseworker and served as counsel for the Marion County Office of Family and Children for sixteen years. She has represented adoption and guardianship petitioners in private practice. She currently represents the programs of Kids' Voice of Indiana, including the Derelle Watson-Duvall Children's Law Center of Indiana, the Supervised Parent-Child Visitation Program and the Bette J. Dick GAL for Kids Program. She co-authored the 1988 CHINS Deskbook, Updates, Supplements, Primer II and the CHINS Deskbook 2001 with Frances G. Hill. She co-authored the 2007 and 2009 Supplements to the CHINS Deskbook 2001 with Saundria Bordone. She received the Viola Taliaferro Award from the Civil Rights of Children Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association in 1998. She received the Women in the Law Recognition Award in 2004 from the Indiana State Bar Association. Derelle also serves as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem.
Bethanne Gruner
Bethanne Gruner Lugar is a qualified Human Resources, Office and Finance Management Professional with 20 years diverse experience in business operational and management practices. Bethanne is the Executive Office Manager responsible for overseeing all operations of Kids' Voice of Indiana. Duties include staffing, payroll, accounting, cash management, health, dental, and liability insurance benefits coordination, correspondence, marketing strategies, fund-raising, scheduling, and assisting in supervised parent-child visitations and customer service.
Jenna Heavner
Jenna Heavner received an A.S. in Social Sciences summa cum laude from Vincennes University in 2007. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Secondary Social Studies graduating with highest honors from Indiana University Purdue University in May 2009. Jenna received her law degree in May 2012 from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She has served as a law clerk for Judge William Hughes, Superior Court 3 in Hamilton County, Indiana, as well as serving as a legal assistant and Guardian ad Litem for Kids’ Voice in 2011 and 2012. Jenna became an attorney for Kids’ Voice in March 2013.
Katherine Meger Kelsey
Katherine Meger Kelsey joined the staff of Kids' Voice of Indiana as an attorney in October 2009. Katherine received her law degree, cum laude, in May 2009 from Indiana University Maurer School of Law at Bloomington. During law school, she worked on the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies and as a certified legal intern for the Community Legal Clinic. Katherine served as a law clerk for Kids' Voice during law school, during which time she acted as a GAL and tried cases in court.
Lindsay Faulkenberg
Lindsay R. Faulkenberg began working as an attorney for Kids’ Voice in November 2011. Lindsay graduated cum laude from Butler University with a B.S. degree in Telecommunications and Journalism. She received her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2009. She was admitted to the bar of Illinois in November 2009 and to the bar of Indiana in May 2010. She served as a law clerk for the Cook County Office of Public Guardian in Illinois. She spent one year working as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Montgomery County Courts in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She has also served as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for Kids’ Voice.
Patti Weimer
Patti Weimer joined the staff of Kids' Voice of Indiana in December 2008. She attended Western Illinois University. Patti has over 25 years of diversified experience in the fields of business, law, adoption, office management, real estate, and government civil service. Patti is the Programs Officer for Kids' Voice of Indiana and manages and coordinates the Supervised Parent-Child Visitation Program including intake orientations, case and file management, program schedule and calendar, staffing and program procedures. In addition, she handles all administrative aspects of fundraising to include planning and attendance at all Kids' Voice events. Patti also serves as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem.
Dara Readus
Dara Readus began working with Kids’ Voice in 2006 assisting the CLCI staff and is now also the Guardian ad Litem Program Assistant. She has a B.A. from Indiana University. Dara has worked in non-profit throughout her career including the Indiana Historical Society and the Eiteljorg Museum.
