GUARDIAN AD LITEM STATE GUIDELINES TRAINING

This training is for those wishing to fulfill the requirements to become a civil family law Guardian ad Litem in Indiana, focusing on state-mandated guidelines, responsibilities, and practices related to GAL work in family law cases.
This comprehensive program is designed to comply with the initial training requirements of the GAL Guidelines. It consists of two essential components:
(1) Live Instruction: Registration with Kids’ Voice includes 7 hours of live training on November 20, 2025.
(2) Online Training: A self-paced online Core Training Program is also required as part of the GAL Guidelines. This training is provided by Kids’ Voice and the Indiana Supreme Court through the Indiana Judicial Branch Education Network. You will be notified when access to the online Core Training Program in the Network is granted, as part of completing your GAL Application.
For attorneys, the in-person training component is approved for 7.0 hours of CLE credit, including 1.0 hour of ethics credit.
