This training is for those wishing to fulfill the requirements to become a civil family law Guardian ad Litem in Indiana, focusing on state-mandated guidelines, responsibilities, and practices related to GAL work in family law cases.

This comprehensive 12-hour program is designed to comply with the initial training requirements of the GAL Guidelines recently adopted by the Indiana Supreme Court. Registration includes 7 hours of in-person instruction on January 31. 5 hours of self-paced online learning, including content from Kids’ Voice and the State Office of GAL/CASA, is designed to complement this in-person training is available for free via the State Office of GAL/CASA.

For attorneys, the live instruction component is pending approval for 7.0 hours of CLE credit, including 1.0 hour of ethics credit.
