Kids’ Voice Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Volunteer Training
This training consists of two parts:
- Online Training: 1.5 – 2 hours of self-paced e-learning per week that introduces you to critically important topics like child development and best interest advocacy.
- Virtual Classroom: 1.5 hours of instruction per week to discuss the ins and outs of being a Guardian ad Litem volunteer with Kids’ Voice of Indiana.
You must complete the e-learning prior to attending the in-person portion of the course.
You will choose one class per week to attend for 4 weeks total. You do not need to commit to classes ahead of time, but you must attend one class per week.
- August 5, 12, 19, and 26, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
- August 8, 15, 22, 29, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Upon registration for this course, a member of our team will contact you about submitting a volunteer application, completing a background check, and setting up your e-learning account.
